Don’t defend me, Wiper Party leader Karonzo Musyoka has told deputy President William Ruto about Raila Odinga’s running mate.

On Wednesday, UDA leaders slammed Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance for subjecting the former vice president to a “humiliating” vetting process that begins today.
Ruto said people like Karonzo deserve respect and should not be interviewed by ” His juniors.”
But speaking to voters in Mlolongo on Thursday, the Wiper leader urged the DP not to speak for him.

“I was Raila Odinga’s running mate in the 2013 and 2017 elections, and I didn’t give an interview. Now you say you’re going to interview me, why? It’s impossible,” Caronzo said.
He accused the Ruto-led Kenyan-Kwanza split of taking advantage of the controversy over Azimio’s running mate, adding that he would not join them.

“I heard the people in the UDA were fighting for me…I shouldn’t have been interviewed. Let me tell you, I don’t want to vouch for it, especially you. The party is run by corrupt people who want to take advantage of Aziz Mio’s developments to lure me to their side. For some reason, I can’t join UDA or Kenyan Kwanza. “It’s easier for the three of us (Uhuru, Raila and Kalonzo) to agree on the direction we want to go.”
Kalonzo is taking a tour of Mombasa in order to promote his party member, Sonko, as the Wiper Party candidate for that position.
Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko will launch his bid for the Mombasa governor seat on Friday.
