Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has expressed her contentment with living apart from her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya. In a recent candid conversation, the couple discussed how they have managed to sustain their marriage despite residing in different countries.
Initially, Zari was uncertain about the practicality of their marriage under such circumstances. “I was surprised when I realized we would be living in separate places after getting married. But surprisingly, it works,” she shared in a video uploaded to YouTube.
Shakib, who is 32 years old, disclosed that after their wedding, he contemplated relocating his business from Uganda to South Africa to be closer to his wife. However, he eventually decided against the move. “I discovered that maintaining our relationship this way, with me visiting you, feels refreshing every time. I realized that if we nurture our relationship like this, we can sustain it for many years,” he explained.
Zari added that she prefers their current arrangement and would not want Shakib to relocate to South Africa. She admitted that having her husband around all the time could be overwhelming for her. “No, I would get tired. I can’t have you around for an entire month. It’s too much. I’m busy with advertisements, travel, children, business, and my social life. Adding you to that mix would be exhausting. The fact that we don’t see each other every day actually helps,” she remarked.
