Sheerdrop country home has spectacular views that overlook the Menengai Crater. Sheerdrop is an ideal home for large families or groups of friends looking for a contemporary, self-catering property in an idyllic countryside setting.

The property has 7 bedrooms over three levels – 6 of the bedrooms are en-suite, it has a well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful children’s playground, and a large garden with outdoor seating. The indoor balcony also offers unmatched views of the crater 

The house while based in the countryside has all modern amenities with cable TV, WiFi, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Children love the playground which has a treehouse, slide, and bikes. The outdoor sitting space at the gazebo enables guests to enjoy spectacular views in a tranquil environment. The balcony on the second floor also has great views and is a great place to relax over a morning coffee.

Guest have full access to all areas of the property which is gated with large grounds.

Other things to note

The house is in a quiet country neighborhood so guests need to be good neighbors.

It was a lovely home to visit. I highly recommend it to families and big groups. Chef Shem and the others were quite awesome as well.

The house was beautiful and spacious. We had mini houses in the house, so much space. The view was breathtaking with SheerDrop which has an unparalleled view of the Menegai crater. This was a great getaway where we relaxed, had fun, cracked jokes enjoyed the warming fireplace within an idyllic and tranquil setting. The property was designed to provide an optimum degree of privacy and entertainment for family and friends taking a break from busy city life. The staff (Shem and his helpers) were professional and on-call. Amazing service and hospitality. Loved every bit of it. The only downside is that we had to leave. A must-visit for anyone who is looking for value in getaways. One of the best out there. 4.5/5. Will revisit.

Great place with amazing views, what more can I say? The house is large, 4 living rooms, 7 bedrooms all with comfortable and clean bedding, plenty of toilets & showers. The kitchen space is also great and 2 helpers did most of the cleaning work allowing us to have a nice and relaxed time. The outside garden is done nicely with a variety of different plants with the view to complement. Recommend!

Sheerdrop is a pure gem; a home that is well equipped for a big group, from the bedrooms to the kitchen, living room et al! We were truly impressed with how clean the home is and the nice personal touches by the host and the staff. The neighborhood is also very peaceful and the home sits on a piece of land with incredible views!

Shem, Janet, and Dorcas were very professional all through our stay and they consistently went above and beyond to make our stay as memorable as possible. Grace was also very responsive and accommodating of our queries and requests!

The kids loved the huge space, facilities, games, and great food made by Shem. We all simply could not have enough of the delicious sandwiches, burgers, and all other meals prepared by him. He was very thoughtful with the menu and consistently delivered quality.

We did two nights but kept wishing we could do a week, lol!

This is a must-visit again soon for us!

Sheerdrop is an amazing house. The house is big and spacious. The ground is well maintained. The staff team was very welcoming, helpful, and easy to work with. Shem is a great cook too. Highly recommended.

This place is spectacular, with great views, good hospitality. quite a neighborhood in the countryside and at the same time not far from town. The house is huge. four living rooms, space is not limited here. Adequate green lawns outside. The staff was perfect. Doing their chores without interfering with my guests. Samson the security gentleman was prompt and available. Shem the chef was extraordinary. He was kin to listen, available at all times, his culinary skills great and timely. We had a perfect getaway weekend and we are visiting again.

Ben’s place is amazing, secure, and clean. I loved the quick responses.

The rooms are well styled and quiet, so you can relax without noise. There is a top-floor patio with views of Lake Nakuru and the militant hills. We were able to have breakfast over there with the views, and it was amazing.

I would recommend anyone visiting Nakuru to stay here. Tuk tuks are just ksh.50 to the city. Bolt is ksh.140. If you are bored you can also walk. It takes 30 mins

Ben’s place was awesome. I can’t remember another enjoyable experience outside this one. Everything was organized and on schedule. This place will be my go-to place whenever I am in Nakuru.
