Jackson Kibor: Celebrated Men’s Conference Chairman Is Dead
Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:22 AM by Jackson Otukho Jackson Kibor died on Wednesday, March 17 at St. Lukes’s Hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county after a long illness.
Before his demise, the businessman was using oxygen since 2020 when he contracted the deadly COVID-19.

When he was admitted to the hospital, the doctors established that his two kidneys had failed and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Kibor, also a renowned farmer, breathed his last on the evening of Wednesday, March 17 at St. Lukes’s Hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county after a long illness. According to his family, the KANU era politician was using oxygen since 2020 when he contracted the deadly COVID-19. The approximately 88-year-old had an oxygen cylinder at his home and another in his vehicle to support him whenever he wanted to visit Eldoret town for treatment or business. Read more on tuko.co.ke

- President Uhuru officially endorsed his handshake partner Raila Odinga as Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate.

ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be his advisor if he forms the next administration.
As President Kenyatta prepares to exit office in three months’ time, Raila said he will be seeking advice from him regularly on the day-to-day running operations of government.
“I will be seeking his advice just like he has been consulting me on different national matters during his second term in government,” Raila said during an interview with BBC on Tuesday. read more on the star

KPMG bags deal to clean voter register ahead of elections

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has said audit firm KPMG will clean up the voter register ahead of the August 9 polls.

KPMG also audited the register before the 2017 polls.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said KPMG beat four others to clinch the deal.

A meeting between the heads of various government agencies and representatives of scrap metal dealers Wednesday failed to unlock a moratorium placed in January by President Uhuru Kenyatta on the trade that has been widely blamed for vandalism of critical infrastructure.
The government has, instead, slapped the dealers with a tough set of regulations, which it insists must be adhered to before a recommendation is made to the President on whether or not to lift the ban. read more on nation Africa
