Veteran attorney, John Khaminwa, has said that the State authority has begun scaring him following his entries during the BBI appeal hearing on Friday.
During his submission under the steady gaze of the Court of Appeal, Khaminwa asked the litigant judges not to consider the allure recorded by the president since he had defied court orders.
“While he was in Kisumu during Madaraka Day he made certain comments about judges, he neglected to gazette two appointed authorities engaged with this case at the High Court Justice George Odunga and Justice Joel Ngugi,” Khaminwa said.
He presented that one should go to court with clean hands and the president didn’t confess all hands by any stretch of the imagination.
“At the point when you have a president who isn’t complying with court orders and disparaging appointed authorities under the watchful eye of the public, this court should stand firm and say to him No we will not hear you, we won’t,” Khaminwa submitted.
On Saturday, Khaminwa said he was visited by two men at his office in Nairobi who attempted to threaten him.
Senior Counsel John Khaminwa may have screwed with some unacceptable individual for the sake of President Uhuru Kenyatta in his accommodation over the BBI claim case.
After his wild accommodation where he censured Uhuru for scaring decided among different abominations against the Judiciary on Friday, Khaminwa is presently an objective of supposed State hardware.
This is after cops supposedly visited him at his office to threaten him.
“Cops at Wakili, Dr. Khaminwa’s office. Simply a day after BBI case entries at the Court of Appeal…,” Hustler Nation Spokesman Dennis Itumbi wrote on Twitter.
“These two people, I got the impression, came here to scare me and to exploit what I said in court against me in the issue of BBI, “Khaminwa said.
“I hold on to what I said at the Court of Appeal… what I said was honest,” Khaminwa added.
Following the reports, the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) censured the police for threatening the supporter.
“We have gotten stressing reports of cops visiting the workplaces of Senior Counsel Khaminwa apparently for his accommodation in the BBI Appeal. Such retaliatory demonstrations of terrorizing have no bearing on our general public.
“We should retaliate and secure those talking truth to control,” KHCR expressed.
In any case, Khaminwa excused reports that cops visited him, rather, he noticed that shams made a trip and requested cash.
He added that the impersonators alluded to a matter that the firm had recently taken care of.
