Journalism Students To Benefit From The Industrial Placement Programme

Journalism and media students are set to benefit from an Industrial Placement that has been initiated by the Media Council of Kenya. The program targets degree and diploma students who are training in institutions that have been accredited by the council.

Unveiling the program, Media Council of Kenya CEO Mr. David Omwoyo lauded the program as one that will contribute towards an improvement of standards in the industry. “In exercise of its mandate of setting standards and ensuring compliance with those standards, the council has seen the need of setting up infrastructure and extending support to promote and strengthen working relations between the media sector and training institutions in Kenya,” he said.
