Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has spoken out after their heartbreaking loss to Arsenal.
United battled hard at The Emirates but ultimately came up short, losing by a score of 3-2 due to a late goal.
Rashford opened the scoring for United, scoring his 17th goal of the season with a fantastic shot.
Rashford tweeted after the match, “Never easy to lose a game like that at the last minute but we go again!” Let’s keep our optimism, since we’re on the right track.
A loss, according to Shaw, is something United earned.
Luke Shaw, a Manchester United defender, was forthright about the team’s lack of gripes after the game.
Shaw stated to BBC Sport, “In the second half we deserved that. We were too passive and allowed them to dictate every aspect of the game.
We were right there till the last second, but we can’t afford to let our guard down for even a second.
There was only one replacement made by Erik ten Hag, and it was Fred, who did not change the outcome of the game in any way.
United had gotten off to a great start thanks to Rashford’s goal. Just seven minutes later, Arsenal scored an equalizer thanks to a defensive blunder.
After Arsenal took the lead early in the second half, United tied the score thanks to a header from Lisandro Martinez.
From there on out, United faced an uphill battle that saw them create few scoring opportunities outside of isolated counterattacks. At that point, they were content with a draw.
Then, due to a slip in concentration, Arsenal scored late to win. United are currently in fourth position and have a long way to go before they are competitive again.
