Nemanja Matic to leave Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has announced he will leave the club at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The 33-year-old has made 183 appearances for the Reds since signing from Chelsea in 2017 and is now ready to leave.
Nemanja Matic announced his decision via his official Instagram account on Friday night, writing:
“After much deliberation, I have decided that this season will be my last at Manchester United. I have informed the board, manager, and players of my decision.
“It has been a huge honor and a privilege to play for this great club. A big thank you to the fans for their unwavering support.
“I will do my best until the end of the season to help my teammates be as strong as possible.”
“Thank you for all the hard work you’ve done over the past five seasons, Matic, and to wrap up your time at Manchester United over the next few weeks,” United said.
