BREAKING; A businessman aged 25s years has been shot dead in a robbery with violence incident in Kamasimo village in Kurutyange sub location,Kuria West sub county,Migori county.
Kuria West sub county police commander Mr.Cleti Kimaiyo said the unknown killers also stole an amount of money and gold from the deceased. Mr.Kimaiyo said the businessman who sustained gunshot wounds succumbed to injuries at Kuria West sub county hospitals while undergoing treatment.
He said the deceased also sustained multiple injuries suspected to have been inflicted by some other crude weapons. The sub county police commander said the police officers who were on patrol around the scene of the murder yesterday night responded swiftly when they heard gunshot but they never got the robbers on site.
Mr.Kimaiyo said the police found spent cartridges at the scene of the incident .He said the police have launched investigation into the robbery with violence incident adding that they are pursuing the suspects.
The sub county police commander has appealed to the members of the public to provide any lead information that can help the police to arrest the suspects.
