Potential buyers for Manchester United from the Glazers have emerged, and they are Qatari investors. They hope that a large sum of money will help the Red Devils return to their former glory.
Apparently some wealthy individuals from Qatar are interested in providing Erik ten Hag with the resources he needs to bring United “back to the top,” as reported by the Daily Mail. According to the rumor, they want to make a bid for the team in the next few days, well before the Glazers’ deadline in the middle of February.
People say they plan to “blow their competition out of the water” in order to completely dominate the market. With Qatari money at Old Trafford, Ten Hag’s Red Devils could compete with the world’s wealthiest teams for the best players.
And knowing that Qatari financiers already own Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe has emerged as an obvious potential target of United. ESPN reported last month that Harry Kane, along with Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko, is one of the Red Devils’ top transfer targets.
The report claims United will pursue the Spurs captain if and only if he decides against signing a new contract with the club. The England international’s contract at Hotspur Way is set to expire in 18 months, and opinions are divided as to whether he should continue with the club or try to twist their arm.
Spurs’ chances of signing Kane to a new contract would be much improved if United were to be purchased by Qatari investors and then plot a move for Mbappe.
Currently, PSG is owned by Qatar Sports Investments. Additionally, no one company may own more than one club in the same league. Therefore, if both Paris and United want to play in the Champions League, they cannot have the same investor in both clubs.
Meanwhile, with less than 18 months left on his contract, Kane’s future at N17 is becoming increasingly questionable. This past summer, Danny Murphy voiced his support for a new contract for the Spurs captain on talkSPORT.
A signature Kane might say, “I’m here. It’s me, the ex-Liverpool midfielder proudly proclaimed. If he holds out until everything is settled, he will be 31 years old. What will happen in two years is anyone’s guess.
He’s a big guy, and he’s had injury issues. Do you think that if he doesn’t sign a new contract by the conclusion of the season, it will affect his popularity with the fans?
