Kenyans in the showbiz sector seeking legislative positions.

Kenyans in the showbiz sector are  putting a leg forward in claiming legislative positions.

In the wake of the 2022 General elections, Kenyans in the showbiz sector are  putting a leg forward to claim legislative positions.

Their inclinations range from MCA, MP, and Woman Rep positions but none have braved the tough  notch gubernatorial or presidential seats.

Here are a few superstars who have announced their inclinations in legislative positions.

1. Felix Odiwuor is also known as Jalang’o

The Kiss FM Radio entertainer and host has an interest in vying for the Langata Legislative seat in 2022.

Felix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, has declared he will be on the ballot in 2022.

Addressing one of the nearby dailies, Jalango said he will seek the Langata MP seat.

In a past interview, Jalang’o said “Just three years are remaining and I will be the next ”

Jalang’o who graduated with a degree in Community Development at Daystar University said he enrolled for the course to help him with perceiving how to supervise and work together with his constituents once voted in.

“It is not easy for a common citizen to bring that change we are all looking for but not for a politician. It is easy to bring that chance if you are in politics but not out,” Jalang’o said.

“I am going to be the next MP of Langata. Youths change your votes. Come and vote for us to build a new Langata. I am campaigning for myself. I am very serious, I am the next MP of Langata. Mark this day,” said Jalang’o in a recent interview.

2. Rufftone

Rufftone. The Mungu Baba hitmaker and gospel entertainer Smith Mwatia, aka Rufftone, has insisted on his desire to join politics come 2022.

Saying that in the wake of being in the music business for over 20 years, he has perceived that it is his turn to lead from the front.

“This is our time as youths to come out and begin leading from the front,” Rufftone said.

Rufftone said he has gotten such endless invites to make progress toward a political seat from voters in Nairobi and some from his old neighborhood in Western Kenya.

About the position, Rufftone said he needs to plunk down with his board and decide on it.

“I will however not be vying for Mp. In the near future, I will announce the position, constituency, and the political party that I will vie with” Rufftone said.

3. Dickson Ngibuini, aka DNG

The Media character as of late announced his desire to run in the legislative race.

DNG declared that he will be competing for the Woodley-Kenyatta Golf Course MCA seat on a UDA ticket in 2022.

 

 

“Everyone I have interacted with has been telling me I have massive leadership potential. Many have told me I need to get into leadership. Others have told me I need to vie for an elective position,” he said.

4. Alinur otherwise known as ‘Somali bae’

Having come into the spotlight as News anchor Betty Kyallo’s  bae, Alinur Mohamed has kept a profile both in showbiz and legislative issues.

Being an ally of ODM pioneer Raila Odinga, Alinur eyes the Kamukunji electorate parliamentary seat.

He has become a web-based media sensation who is effectively associated with political conversations and going up to help individual superstars to develop their gifts.

5. Gospel artist Reuben Kigame

Gospel performer Reuben Kigame has reported that he will be in the 2022 elective positions, contesting Deputy President William Ruto. Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi are among lawmakers who have announced interest in the race.

Kigame is revitalizing people who will shape his activation group to join his social sites to share thoughts and fortify his plan.

The Enda Nasi hitmaker said that he was reacting to the call of his confidants to strive as an independent competitor in 2022.

“Kenya is in a bad place and if we do not courageously challenge the rot we are in at the moment, we will have ourselves to blame and future generations will not forgive us for letting them down.
“Tough times require tough decisions and mine is such. I will be announcing my bid soon,” Kigame said in a post in one of the online media gatherings.

The minister, an individual living with a disability (daze PWD), reported that his plan will be founded on ‘Reset Kenya’ and ‘Make Kenya Great Again’ slogans.
