President Uhuru Kenyatta’s partners in Mt. Kenya have given him a serious blow after they dismissed his ‘project’ Justin Muturi, who was coroneted as Mt. Kenya representative and his replacement.
The pioneers rather supported Agriculture CS Peter Munya to succeed Uhuru in 2022 when his term concludes.

Munya, who held the gathering at the Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) grounds in Meru County yesterday, was picked over Muturi who skirted the occasion despite being welcomed.
Talking at the occasion, pioneers praised Munya for his initiative characteristics, naming him an appealing and capable legislator who can energize the region to join together.
They noticed that Munya had exhibited that he can lead the country once Uhuru resigns and was ready to be delegated Mt Kenya top choice.
On his part, Munya pledged to hold the local area together, saying under his administration, he won’t ever permit anybody to isolate Mt. Kenya, particularly Deputy President William Ruto, who is making strides in the region constantly.
“We will not bow to any attempt to divide us. There are a few who have been sent to divide us into east and west.”
“When they held top positions in the government, there was no east and west.”
“When we fought for independence, we were one people.”
“Our solidarity is basic for the following political race,” Munya, who announced himself accepted Mt Kenya representative expressed.
In participation at the gathering were Governors Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru) and James Nyoro (Kiambu), Deputy Nairobi Governor Anne Kananu, Murang’a Woman Rep Sabina Chege, previous Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, and Kieni MP Kanini Kega.
The pioneers encouraged Muturi, who was delegated by elderly folks in May 2021, to join the gathering and rally behind CS Munya.
