His Excellency the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya Hon. Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto, His Excellency the Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, His Excellency Speaker of the August House Hon. Moses Masika Wetangula, His Excellency Chief Cabinet Secretary Hon. Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi, Honorable Excellencies, Governors, Senators, Members of Parliament, MCAS, members of the fourth estate, ladies and gentlemen, good morning.
Praise God. Excellencies, receive our heartfelt greetings and congratulations on your past 2022 WIN. That win was deserving. Excellencies, in football, if a player scores with his hand in and the referee does not foul the play, it’s a legitimate score. Therefore H.E DR. William Samoei Rutos’ administration is a Legitimate Government. A Government with the People, for the People and by the People. A people’s Government. Excellencies, allow me to thank Hon. Musalia and Speaker Wetangula for the enhanced Luhya Unity dialogue enhancement. Honorable members, I’m just a humble servant of God. A voice for the voiceless. Over twenty years now, since His Excellency Wamalwa Kijana passed on. Oh No! I still weep. May his Soul Rest In Peace.
The goat of Mulembe Nation. We have not had an EMBLEM to luhya Unity. Excellencies, our people. The Luhya people are suffering. Poor infrastructure, illiteracy, hunger and poverty, drunkenness, lack of leadership mention them all. It is a toll order for a luhya man or woman to prosper. We are accustomed to mbekho mbekho culture. Excellencies, where are we going to run to? Hon. Musalia and Speaker Wetangula have done their best getting the Luhya people in Government. We Luhyas should be appreciative and thank them for their support to the community in Unity affairs. Luhyas. The challenge we face is due to a lack of proper leadership. Kingpinship. One party structure. That will be able to assemble and put all our votes in a single entity. Luhyas. I’m not leveled up to speak to you today. But I’m left with no choice. We are poor out of choice. We can’t choose poverty over hope and prosperity. Luhyas. You need to realize, we are stronger together. Our Togetherness is our Strength. Apart and divided we die of hunger and starvation.
The hunger in Vihiga is the the same hunger in Trans-Nzoia. The poverty in Bungoma is the same poverty in Busia. Our problems should be our UNIFACTION symbol. Luhyas. Challenges bedeviling us is as a result of poor leadership. As the ABALUHYA people, note that the only weapon we have is our Identity card and the voters card. Luhyas. Do not be fooled. The only weapon we have is the ID and VOTERS CARD. With that, you decide your future, yourself. Yet, your future and my future are correlated. Raila Odinga’s war is not a luhya affair. It’s a LUO affair. However good your neighbors house may appear, it will never appeal more than your own grass thatched house. Let’s be proud as the Luhya Community. Let’s support one another. Let’s grow one another. A brothers success is a community’s development. We want development. Honorable luhya Governors, Senators, Members of Parliament and MCAS. Do due diligence. Educate the people. Give platform to young men and women. Let them RISE to PROSPERITY. Luhya LEADERS. You have starved the Luhya community for a very long time. You stand guilty as charged. No offense. We can start over again. As one people. Do your best to Unite our people.
Luhya Leaders. We have alot to discuss. This is a platform to raise this issues. It’s upon you to take action and uplift our people. In all this prayers. I pray to the goat of the Valley. And the goat of the mountain. To humbly hear our appeal. Excellencies, the beauty in the Valley and the beauty in the mountain is phenomenal. My heart pours with desire. That Mulembe Nation can be an equal partner in the affairs of this Nation. LUDEF is a People’s initiative. Western Kenya supports and endorses William Ruto’s administration. No luhya should be left behind in this new awakening.
With that, allow me to pen down. More introductory statement will follow communicating our Vision, Mission and Purpose of LUDEF. May the Good God Bless you as you reconsider all the pointers. As a movement, our loyalty is to the President of the Republic of Kenya and the People of this Nation. God Bless you.
