Kenya in 6th wave with 559 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday

From 3,639 samples, Kenya’s Covid-19 positive rate has increased to 15.4% over the past 24 hours, showing a consistent increase in new cases over the previous few days.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe reported that 322 of the new patients are men and 237 are women, with 486 of the patients being Kenyans and 73 being foreigners.

213 people, 207 from the Home Based and Isolation Care Program, and six from various health facilities across the nation, according to Kagwe, have recovered from the illness.

Currently, there have been 321,494 recoveries nationwide, of which 268,375 come from the Home Based Care and Isolation program and 53,119 from various medical centers across the nation.
Fortunately, no patient has passed away from the illness, so there have still been 5,651 reported case fatalities.
89 individuals are now being treated in medical institutions, while 3,803 are receiving care at home.

In the past 24 hours, 23,700 vaccines have been given out, and 8,998 people have received all of their recommended vaccinations, according to Kagwe.
