How to apply for a Green Card in Kenya

- The following is a detailed explanation of how to enter the Diversity Visa Lottery and gain admission to the United States legally from Kenya.
Eligibility
The applicant must be a citizen of a nation that is eligible to enter the Green Card lottery.
Applicants must provide evidence that they have completed the educational equivalent of the United States high school diploma. This necessitates that you’ve spent the last 12 years in a formal educational setting, including elementary and high school.
You may also submit evidence of at least two years of relevant job experience gained within the preceding five years. Professions that require a minimum of two years of schooling to enter are considered appropriate.
There is no minimum age requirement, although applicants should be over 16 years old and have completed 12 years of elementary and secondary schooling before applying.
The Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) Program has a rolling registration period, however there is a short window of opportunity to apply each fiscal year.
Requirements

Please note that applicants will be disqualified if they submit more than one entry or if their submitted images do not fit the standards.
If your application for a diversity visa is approved after you follow the instructions on their website, the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) will contact you via email to set up an interview.
A DV entry confirmation number and instructions for accessing your interview date, time, and place via the Entrant Status Check section of the Electronic Diversity Visa (E-DV) website will be included in the email.
Your immigrant visa status will be determined by the consular officer at the conclusion of your interview.

If your visa application is successful, however, you will be given instructions on how and when to pick up your passport and visa.
You must now pay the Ksh. 24,442 ($220) USCIS Immigrant Fee.
