Informant in Maasai Mara Heist Exposé Spencer Sankale Fired
Maasai Mara University has alleviated Spencer Sankale of his obligations.
Sankale is the informant in the Maasai Mara Heist confession that circulated on Citizen TV in 2019.
In a letter endorsed by Chairman of Council, Kennedy ole Kerei, Sankale was seen as blameworthy of nine offenses after a disciplinary gathering held by the committee on June 16, 2020.
Sankale, who guaranteed that the varsity’s Vice-Chancellor Mary Walingo cheated Sh177 million from the organization, was seen as blameworthy of supported incitement of the college staff and overall population against his manager, supported discourteousness against his boss and malignant deception of his boss.
The council likewise saw him as blameworthy of slander and criticism and dishonestly censuring the picture and reputation of the institution.

“Due to the aforementioned, the Council resolved to summarily terminate your employment with the university with immediate effect, following section 44 (4)(d)(g) of the Employment Act,” the dismissal letter dated June 17 read.
“Note that you will be paid a one month’s compensation in lieu of notice.”

Sankale was requested to clear with important specialists inside the organization before his exit.
Last year, Sankale asserted partners and companions had turned on him over the report.
“Things have gone out to the most exceedingly awful level conceivable. I turned into the black sheep at work and things are not well,” whined Sankale.
“The theft has not stopped but we are sharing information with the relevant authorities as and when the theft occurred.”
Walingo was arrested and arraigned alongside four others. In the wake of keeping 10 counts of extortion and maltreatment of office, they have conceded a Sh20 million bond or an option of Sh10 million bail.
Different suspects included; VC’s driver Noor Hassan Abdi, Deputy VC of Academics John Almadi, the school’s Deputy VC of Finance and Planning Simon Kasine, and the Finance official Anaclet Okumu.
