2022 FIFA World Cup draw: Spain and Germany in group, defending champions France vs. Denmark
Holders France faced rivals in the draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the Doha Exhibition Centre on Friday, while much-criticised Qatar prepares to host football’s biggest flagship event.
France, the 2018 winner, will meet Denmark and Tunisia in Group D of the World Cup, which begins on November 21. Hosts Qatar are in Group A, where they meet Senegal, the Netherlands and Ecuador.
Former champions Germany and Spain compete against each other in clear dead groups. They also have another qualifier from Japan and Group E. Group G is also one of the toughest, with five-time world champions Brazil facing Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina meets Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal meets Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
Meanwhile, the No. 15-ranked Americans were drawn on Friday to face the European playoff champions on Nov. 21, the opening day of the Qatar Championship, before facing No. 5 on Nov. 25. England and finished 21st in the group stage. Iran.
39th-placed Scotland are in a play-off against 27th-placed Ukraine in June that was delayed by Russia’s attack on Ukraine. The winner battles No. 18 Wales for a World Cup spot, which is also scheduled for June.
