[PHOTOS]: Citizen TV Crew, Lulu Hassan Throw Surprise Party for Rashid Abdalla
Citizen TV anchor Lulu Hassan and colleagues surprised her husband Rashid Abdalla for his 40th birthday at a private party.
Video and photos from Kenyans.co.ke show guests flocking to an unspecified location in the coastal city of Mombasa on the evening of Sunday, May 9.
Dressed in a white kanzu and holding a scepter, Abdalla was surprised to see his friends and colleagues serenade him while wishing him a happy birthday.
After the reporter was carried into the tent by his wife Lulu, he was full of emotion, and the couple became the focus.
Friends and colleagues raised their glasses to celebrate Abdullah’s spectacular moment in his life, highlighted on an LCD projector.

Among the guests who graced the event include Citizen TV journalists Faizah Wanjiru, Monica Kiragu, Emmanuel Igunza, Wangechi Muriuki and Hassan Mugambi.
Other notable figures include former Maria actress Wanjiku Stephens and renowned chef, Ali Mandhry. Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho also made a surprise appearance to captivate a star-studded event.
Performing artist Juliet Miriam Ayub alias Jovial took to the stage with her hit singles as both Abdalla and Lulu danced to a slow tempo.
The event was capped off with Abdalla and Lulu dancing as bottle sparklers and fireworks filled the air.
