BREAKING NEWS ON THE SUSPECTED AL-SHABAAB ATTACK
Three KeNHA engineers’ trucks were attacked by suspected Al-Shabaab members who had detonated an IED on Old Lapsset Road. The explosion completely destroyed the first vehicle, a Toyota Hilux Double Cabin KBV 502S.
The other vehicles made a U-turn for safety at Hailey camp. The group traveled from Garissa to Bura East via the Hailey Chinese Camp.
The discovery of three bodies has led investigators to believe that the body of the fourth person was destroyed entirely inside the car.

During a routine inspection of the LAPSSET Road, attackers targeted a convoy of three KeNHA Engineers’ vehicles.
